No. 0     Original Topic:  Why ?

Yes ... why listen to anyone who just wants to point the finger and complain about the church ???

I'm not interested in listening to the complainers, but I am interested in those who are led to " go to church " ... and be a part of it ... doing their part ... instead of gripping about what others are doing.

Amen ? AMEN !!!

You sound offended that God does not like the workers of iniquity. But you should listen to God becuase he is far more knowledgeable than you.

quit worrying about such foolish things as to how many followers the ravening wolves have and can further collect.

The real truth is not coming by worldly preachers in the churches around the corner. You should be happy for those who are smart enough to stay away from them.

The more people are complaining ... the less they are listening.

So ... WHY ...

Spend more of your time in talking to someone who listens less ???

Now ... that's a good point right there ... :2thumbs:

No, I have always told them not to listen to me but look it up themselves. but You and other preachers want followers and lots of them to follow your own belief not by seeking it themselves but by blindly believing worldly preachers like yourself. Thats where you and I differ.

I thought you believed that God was in control and there was no free will being exercised?

(just sayin -- not arguing here or engaging in discussion on the ideology of weak minded ppl who do not research and study on our own, since I most certainly have held self study -- since childhood and most Christians I know follow "One" and that is Christ Himself).

You have misconceptions about Church. Church is for gathering in Praise and Worship, building up, fellowship, some teaching, but mostly Worship between like-minded Church goers).

Many Churches have Bible Study groups though to sharpen one's apologetics.

Hebrews 10:24 And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, 25 not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.

I agree with you TCG ... there are preachers looking for followers ... people who blindly follow whatever some preacher says ... BUT ...

I'm not one of them. NOPE ! :thumb_dn:

Now ... after being here on MC for awhile ... apparently you believe that I am ... BUT ...

I believe when you and I ( or anyone else for that matter ) LISTENS and SEEKS after God ... and has Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior ... God has His ways ... and the Holy Spirit works within us to " line us up " with God and each other ... AND ...

If any of us are " off " in some way ... God will be able to take care of it. Amen ? AMEN !

So again, I agree with you ... there are WORLDLY preachers out there ... desiring to have followers. I do not differ with you on what you are saying here at all.

One more thing TCG ...

You surely don't believe that ALL preachers are worldly and that ALL preachers are desiring to have their own followers ... do you ?

There are those of us ( preachers ) who are only encouraging others to follow Jesus Christ ... that's it ... that's all.

I do believe we can be " influenced " by others ... for the worst ... or for the better.

I ... for one ... am thankful for the " preachers " who have influenced me down through the years ... for the better.

Let's see ... let's take the first one I met ... a young preacher just starting out. He did his best to persuade me to go to church, and I did go once or twice. I admired his enthusiasm and can still remember how he went overboard on his preaching ... but you could tell ... he loved the Lord.

Then ... the second one I met was a country preacher. He is the one that stood by me when I accepted the Lord and was just starting out as a young Christian. The messages he presented were simplistic and I like that very much.

The third preacher was a guy who had a unique way of not letting others bother him. Some people treated him poorly, but he loved them back. This stuck with me and to this day ... I remember his kindness to others.

Finally, an older preacher I met in Kentucky truly blessed my heart in many different ways. He had this way about him where he simply accepted people " where they are " and had such a sweetness about him. This is where I got the ... " Just Lord and I " from ... learning ... when it comes right down to it ... the relationship we can have with the Lord is of more importance than any other relationship we can ever have with anybody.

Yes ... there were other preachers I did not care for at all. One was a man that " blew up " on me one time ... saying things that were not true about me ... and was doing his best to get me to do what he did ... which was " over-working " and simply doing too much ... neglecting his family and making the church his own little world. BUT ... this was a way God was showing me ... " how NOT to be " ... and the negative influence from this pastor actually helped me to be ... " not like him. " So, it was a positive result from a negative influence.

Okay ... one more is coming to mind ... a pastor that came across as a Christian friend ... and then later ... turned on me and said he did not want to have any association with me at all ... just to leave him alone. This one " hurt " me deeply, but again ... the negative influence caused me to ask myself ...

" Is this the way I want to be " ???

So ... each preacher ... did influence me in some way ... and as God worked with me ... through it all ... I do believe they all helped me in a positive way ... YES ... NOT ... to look to preachers and simply go along with whatever they say ... but to realize how God was teaching me and molding me in how He wanted me to be ... or not be.

Of course, I'm still learning as I go.

Of course God is in control and there of course is no free will. A man's mind is evil but it is God who determines if man does this or that...such as murder and all other crimes. I know you want to take God out of the pic but you cant. He is there permanently.

You have misconceptions about Church. Church is for gathering in Praise and Worship, building up, fellowship, some teaching, but mostly Worship between like-minded Church goers).

Have you ever read the bible for real. Do you know you are accusing God of lying about the churches and being full of misconceptions. God dont lie and he is not full of misconceptions. You like these wordly churches but God does not and is taking them down. Church goers honor God with their mouths but there hearts are far from him.

Yes ... I'm sure there are SOME ... but not all of them.

I agree with you TCG that there are SOME ( not sure how many ) ... but SOME church goers who only honor God with their mouths, but their hearts are far from Him ... but again ... not all of them ... but SOME of them.

Which goes back to what I shared above in this thread ...

When you see how SOME people can be ... it's a good way God works to show us ... how NOT to be ... and to be the way He wants us to be.

Again, a negative influence can have a positive result ... in us ... if we are open to seeing what God wants us to see !

Wrong rpm. It's all of them. All are sinners. Peopel who go to these wordly churches only remember God for one hr of the church service once or twice a week. Then they go home and be who they really are as if God isn't watching anymore.

Denominationalism divides and separates into religious sects with different doctrines and different beliefs; this is not unity, this is division.
Denominationalism is out of harmony with the New Testament.
Ephesians 4.4...one body= the Church, His people...the Bride.

Denominations formulate names and doctrines not found in the New Testament. Acts 2 tells us they were all in one accord- unity!
Those who belong to the Lords Church must be Repentant Believer through complete obedience to God's Will... you have entered into God's kingdom- God will then add you to the Lord's Church...THE ONE TRUE CHURCH!

Correction ... :icon_eek:

I need to say ... " listening to the complaints of the complainer. "

Yea ... that's better.

I'll still listen to the person who is the complainer, but definitely don't want to spend a lot of time dealing with their complaints ... especially when the person doesn't want to listen to anybody anyway.

It is the preachers that led the sheep astray. You are a preacher yes? Your just as guilty as the rest of them. And each preacher wants to get more and more followers. But thks to Jesus who is gonna round up the sheep that the preaches have led astray. Don't you know, all those who follow you and other preachers are made twice as much a child of hell as you are? Preachers are the problem not the solution.

My negative experiences are coming from you. Everyone suffers negative experiences because we all have to suffer, however God disagrees with you when you say few positive outcomes becuaes you see all the suffering God makes us go through is never ever for a negative outcome. You should repent for your mouth against God. You try so hard to bother me that you end up downing God instead. So at this point you need to pray for you.

Tell it right or dont tell it at all. I don't have a need of my own to be here. Its God who has a purpose for my being here. For all you know, God could have sent me here to straighten out preachers like you who are deceiving his the sheep. After all it is God who gave me that strong desire to let everyone know All are saved. Your guess is as good as mine in knowing God's purpose for my being here. You have a way of making something sound good and without careful reading by your listeners you are able to deceive them becuase it sounds good so they just accept it. And I have a way of seeing the falsehoods in your trickery. It just jumps right out at me and I can't help it.

But as far as the trickery goes, its not your fault. You really believe all you speak but thats because you were taught it first by your deceived preacher or some other sinful man and you are just passing it along.

Are you " complaining " again ??? :answer:

If so ... then I for one ... am not listening to your complaints. If you are being " bothered " ... please take that up ... between you and God.

But again ... if God has a need for you to be here ... maybe it's simply to learn " how not to be " ... and as you continue to " accuse " Christians of so many things ... that ... in itself should cause you to take a strong look at yourself ... knowing ... that you are definitely NOT lining up with much of what God's Word truly tells us.

If nothing else ... the negative experiences YOU have CAUSED here will be dealt with in time by God ... so ... in the meantime ... we will continue our prayers for you TCG.

My wife and I will be heading off to WalMart here shortly, but I did want to respond back to you TCG. It gives me some good practice on " how to be " with you ... so here it goes ...

First, there are times when it's best to IGNORE some people, but I don't believe I want to ignore you on this topic.

Second, since I am not ignoring you ... I do want you to know I am reading what you say ... hearing you ... but in all honesty ... I am not paying much attention in what you are saying ... because ... and I may be wrong in this ... but I wonder if a lot of what you are saying is simply " complaining " about the church and preachers ... and on and on.

Again ... as I have mentioned at the beginning of the thread ... it's best if a person does not " LISTEN " to complaining ... and just to let you know ... you have not said anything new here that you haven't said before at one time or another.

Sooooooooooooooooo ... I appreciate you coming in and posting ... and as you know ... people can post as many times as they wish ... no matter if anyone else is posting or not ... so again ... thanks for posting.

Now ... let's see ... I don't think I have anything else to say ... but who knows ... something may strike me later ... and if it does ... I'll come back and post it.

IF ... there's anyone else reading this thread ... I pray they are observing the " difference " in how you and I are interacting with each other ... and appreciate how the Good Lord helps us in " how to be " with others ... and " how not to be. "

Thank you, Lord, I pray as far as how You are leading me ... teaching me along the way ... that this response is a Godly example ... of HOW TO BE.

Again, TCG ... appreciate you posting ... just not much interested in what you are saying at this time, but hang in there ... I'm sure we may " line up " on some topic of discussion in the future. Take Care !

Amen !

Again ... as I have mentioned at the beginning of the thread ... it's best if a person does not " LISTEN " to complaining ...

Is that why you don't listen to God about his warnings concerning churches and preachers. Or you only accept what you want to accept and the rest of what God says you just flush down your toilet.

and just to let you know ... you have not said anything new here that you haven't said before at one time or another.

Not trying to. You got to accept what God's word says otherwise there would be no point to move on with you.
Now ... let's see ... I don't think I have anything else to say ... but who knows ... something may strike me later ... and if it does ... I'll come back and post it.

Oh i have no doubt you will be back as soon as you think up what bad way you want to talk about me next and how you want to word it, you will post it. take all the time you need.

Again, TCG ... appreciate you posting ... just not much interested in what you are saying at this time, but hang in there ... I'm sure we may " line up " on some topic of discussion in the future.

You mean you are not interested in what God had to say about Churches and preachers since the things i speak about the churches and preaches came from God who I know don't lie but you seem to think he does. All those things God says about preachers you want kept hidden right.....because you are one.

Up bright and early ... been in prayer ... thought I'd come to MC and look over the posts again. I came here in this thread to only say this ...

The beauty of being a Christian is knowing ... no matter what differences there may be between us ... God's love ... in us through Christ ... makes up for all of the differences.

Just thankful Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior ... my best friend.

So TCG ... as a Christian ... I pray you will experience His love in such a way where you can say the same thing.

Believe however you want to believe about me ... it doesn't change the Love of God toward you ... through me.

God uses men to do evil to others. I already know that. But you rpm do not have Godly sense or understanding.

Ooooooooooooooooooh ... My !

Is that " how to be " ... to me ?

You come across like you are in some kind of boxing match ... swinging a left upper cut and a right to the belly.

Well ... that's not what I want to do ... or how to be ... nope !

How about if I just keep ducking and do some fast foot work to miss your punches ... :duck:

And ... simply ... say ... " God Loves You " ... as you are for now.

Anything else you would like to say ... go ahead ... and get it out of your system ... I'll wait until you get finished ( if that happens ).

Come on ... let me have it ... go at it. It gives me some good practice on loving people " as they are " ... amen !

:wavey:

Just thinking ... hope others are " observing " this ... and being encouraged ... to stand firm ... duck the punches ... and let the Lord do the fighting ... for He is our defense ... amen !

It's not me you are struggling with TCG ... it's the Good Lord Himself.

So ... I'll just let you two wrestle it out ... and keep praying for ya !

I need prayers too ... and I'm sure I'm getting them ! Thanks !

you can only speak for you and you cant even tell the truth when you speak for you. Now I dont really care what you think of me, I only care when you down me to try and lift yourself up and you do that sort of wickedness all the time. That only shows me that your heart if far from God regardless of what you speak from your mouth. So go put on your fake face for an hr and babble repetitious prayer and see ya when you return.

It's a ... " how not to be " ... for me ...

you are just as bad but you do your dirty work in a sly way to try to make yourself look innocent for the watchers benefit. I on the ohter hand just outright say what I feel not trying to be sly but just being the real me.

It boils down to you try to hide the bad side of you while being bad to deceive others to think your good and I dont hide the real me.

You are correct ... it's not the real me.

It's ... Jesus in me ... together ... WE are real. :2thumbs:

So ... Christ in me ... and me ... make a wonderful combination.

God directs men to be the lously way they are so ya it is God's fault. You think that makes you good but it don't. It makes you a worker for the Lord to do both good and evil. You will do whatever he causes you do even if its bad. You know all those baby killers, rapist, drug addits and all other criminals, well they all got God working in them too so you aint nothing special.
