Ecclesiastes 3
A Time for Everything

1For everything there is a season,
a time for every activity under heaven.
2A time to be born and a time to die.
A time to plant and a time to harvest.
3A time to kill and a time to heal.
A time to tear down and a time to build up.
4A time to cry and a time to laugh.
A time to grieve and a time to dance.
5A time to scatter stones and a time to gather stones.
A time to embrace and a time to turn away.
6A time to search and a time to quit searching.
A time to keep and a time to throw away.
7A time to tear and a time to mend.
A time to be quiet and a time to speak.
8A time to love and a time to hate.
A time for war and a time for peace.

14And I know that whatever God does is final. Nothing can be added to it or taken from it. God’s purpose is that people should fear him. 15What is happening now has happened before, and what will happen in the future has happened before, because God makes the same things happen over and over again.

16I also noticed that under the sun there is evil in the courtroom. Yes, even the courts of law are corrupt! 17I said to myself, “In due season God will judge everyone, both good and bad, for all their deeds.”

Ecclesiates 5:8
Don't be surprised if you see a poor person being oppressed by the powerful and if justice is being miscarried throughout the land. For every official is under orders from higher up, and matters of justice get lost in red tape and bureaucracy.

Cain smote his brother Abel. There have been all kinds of evil since the time of Adam and Eve when sin entered. There were all kinds of wickedness at the time Jesus walked the earth. We were never promised for our earth/world to be healed, but the contrary. As long as the devil roams this earth, there will be wickedness in full gear.

God's promises are to those who belong to him, who walk in his ways, not the ways of the world. If we do not have peace with God, how can we expect to be protected? Did God promise easy street for anyone who believes in him? Walking with God is obedience to his word, studying to show ourselves approved, rightly dividing the word of Truth. Maybe we are walking with God, but others are not. Should we expect them to be under divine protection just because God is love? Although a child may be innocent, he is born to godless parents, therefore, he is not under God's protective hand.

The Church is guilty. We are guilty of not walking in obedience which includes praying for our neighbors. We are guilty of not being obedient in sharing the salvation message. Then, when our neighbor falls into bad times, we are surprised??? Even if we have shared, even if they have heard the message, we are not responsible for their hearts.

Mark 13
5Jesus replied, “Don’t let anyone mislead you, 6for many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah.’ They will deceive many.

7And you will hear of wars and threats of wars, but don’t panic. Yes, these things must take place, but the end won’t follow immediately.

8Nation will go to war against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in many parts of the world, as well as famines. But this is only the first of the birth pains, with more to come.

9“When these things begin to happen, watch out! You will be handed over to the local councils and beaten in the synagogues. You will stand trial before governors and kings because you are my followers. But this will be your opportunity to tell them about me. 10For the Good News must first be preached to all nations. 11But when you are arrested and stand trial, don’t worry in advance about what to say. Just say what God tells you at that time, for it is not you who will be speaking, but the Holy Spirit.

12“A brother will betray his brother to death, a father will betray his own child, and children will rebel against their parents and cause them to be killed. 13And everyone will hate you because you are my followers. But the one who endures to the end will be saved.

14“The day is coming when you will see the sacrilegious object that causes desecration standing where he should not be.” (Reader, pay attention!) “Then those in Judea must flee to the hills. 15A person out on the deck of a roof must not go down into the house to pack. 16A person out in the field must not return even to get a coat. 17How terrible it will be for pregnant women and for nursing mothers in those days. 18And pray that your flight will not be in winter. 19For there will be greater anguish in those days than at any time since God created the world. And it will never be so great again. 20In fact, unless the Lord shortens that time of calamity, not a single person will survive. But for the sake of his chosen ones he has shortened those days.

21“Then if anyone tells you, ‘Look, here is the Messiah,’ or ‘There he is,’ don’t believe it. 22For false messiahs and false prophets will rise up and perform signs and wonders so as to deceive, if possible, even God’s chosen ones. 23Watch out! I have warned you about this ahead of time!

24“At that time, after the anguish of those days,

the sun will be darkened,
the moon will give no light,
25the stars will fall from the sky,
and the powers in the heavens will be shaken.

26Then everyone will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds with great power and glory. 27And he will send out his angels to gather his chosen ones from all over the world—from the farthest ends of the earth and heaven.
28“Now learn a lesson from the fig tree. When its branches bud and its leaves begin to sprout, you know that summer is near. 29In the same way, when you see all these things taking place, you can know that his return is very near, right at the door. 30I tell you the truth, this generation will not pass from the scene before all these things take place. 31Heaven and earth will disappear, but my words will never disappear.

32“However, no one knows the day or hour when these things will happen, not even the angels in heaven or the Son himself. Only the Father knows. 33And since you don’t know when that time will come, be on guard! Stay alert!

34“The coming of the Son of Man can be illustrated by the story of a man going on a long trip. When he left home, he gave each of his slaves instructions about the work they were to do, and he told the gatekeeper to watch for his return. 35You, too, must keep watch! For you don’t know when the master of the household will return—in the evening, at midnight, before dawn, or at daybreak. 36Don’t let him find you sleeping when he arrives without warning. 37I say to you what I say to everyone: Watch for him!”

Jesus said it, so why are people surprised at the current wickedness? This is just the beginning, it is going to get worse! If you are uneasy now, what are you going to do when you are put into prison for your faith or will you deny Christ?

Well for me, Im well aware of the wickedness of this world and its getting worse and worse thats why i disagree with those who claim life is grand, God loves them so much due to their belief that God has given them a wonderful happy life and they post icons of themselves floating on a comfy cloud smiling. They also sit around waiting for others to get better and better in this world and equal their prideful self when the truth is people are getting worse and worse. Some People beleive what makes them feel good and thats what they rely on, instead of whats reality. In other words their mind is stuck in dream land and they need to wake up to reality.

The reality is that God provides us the means to overcome all. We simply have to accept it and choose to apply it in faith.

all that means to me is christ overcame the world through resurrection and becuase he did, so shall we. In other words Death has no victory on any of us. after physical death, we will have life beucadse christ overcame the world. But i know you take Christ overcoming the world a whole different way which gives it a false interpretation as far as i can tell. However, it is true that God does help us in our lives in the here and now. But that isnt what christ overcoming the world verse means as far i can tell.

I never referred to any specific Scripture. Simply accepting God's Word in context with His Word and examples provided all throughout the Bible.
