Father God, Here I am once again at your feet, seeking you help in a hour of need. As you already know Lord Jim and his family have just lost two very special loved ones. Mother, and now Father. This is hard as you well know. You being a man of many sorrows, and pains are acquainted with grief, sickness, and have walked this path before. You know the very needs of Jim, and his entire family. Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of sympathy, comfort, consolation, and distress. Said, you will not leave us as orphans, comfortless, desolate, bereaved, forlorn, helpless! Bring the right people into their lives, as they very much need. We say to you today... Thank you, that we can rely on you when our hearts are ripped apart! You are the great Shepard and you feed your flock, you guide them, and shield them. Yes, though Jim and his family are walking through this deep, sunless, valley of this shadow of Death they have no reason to fear, or dread evil for your with them. You will protect, as you bring comfort to them. You said, in my Fathers House their are many mansions, and if it were not so you would have told them. You have gone away to prepare a place for Jim's Father. Now... he has gained the Glory of Eternal life in which you have promised him. We thank you that you keep your words, and they never return to us void. Lord Jesus, I am asking you to bring "Peace" to this family. You said we can know you are with us. Let each member know you are right there at their side... you will walk them through their loss and grief. They need to feel your warm embrace Lord, as they may feel their life may be up-side down right now. Comfort them all, while walking them through this process with your grace, and great strength. Merciful, and Loving God. In Jesus Mighty Name, our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen! :group_prayer:

This prayer was so moving I shared it with Jim and Katie this morning. Thank you, everyone, for your compassion and your prayers. Life is such a fragile thing. We never know when we will breathe our last breath. Only He does. Yet, we know without doubt that God is the one who knows every moment of our lives from the first to the last.

hugs to all you. A big giant hug to you, ChildofGod, your words are alive with His presence.

Kari, I totally appreciate the "giant hug". Even I need that! I personally was very moved after reading what Jim and Katie are faced with. You too! Truly, Kari I never know what to pray, or even how, but it never fails that The Holy Spirit of God will allow my words to flow. So, its me doing the writing, but the prayer is coming from above! I just "Know" how much the Lord loves all of you, and will never forsake his Children. Please let me know How all are doing including you. If ever you need my prayers for anything just drop me a line, or as you have done, put it in a forum. Its my pleasure to pray. Also, Our Lord tells us too on every occasion. I am very simple Kari, and not highly educated, yet I allow our Lord to guide me as much as possible. God be with you and the whole family...you're loved!
