I will only be coming in to this forum to pray ( for awhile ). We all need prayer ... and ... we all need " re-adjusted " by the Almighty Hand of God.

Heavenly Father,

As we seek You and read the Bible, we need Christ in our life in order to open our eyes and reveal the meaning of Your Word through the work of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Whoa...that is messed up TCG. Just because he has created prayers throughout MC forums does not mean he is doing wrong. I am sure he does go into his secret place, and talks with the Lord. MC is not a secret place. Its made public. Yet, you steady put this man down for his ways! He is not putting you down one bit! Get a life! His behavior agitates you. Just because someone rubs you the wrong way does not give you the right to pull down that one! Why do you "not pray" as Christ did? He prayed outside his closet (private place) too, you know? Maybe you do "not" know... Or, believe! Oh, that's right you made "a statement in another thread" you "were not a Christian." I'm bad. Sorry! Later...Be back if God is willing...

Jesus the Lord of my Life, I come here to ask that you continue to work in all your children, here on MC, and those who are on other Christian sites, as well. There are times in our lives that we all need you to help us adjust our behavior, attitude, mind-sets, hearts, and souls toward you, and others! I am asking you to help me to adjust mine! I sincerely ask you to help me always to consider my enemies. You have called us to love them, pray for them! Only you Lord can reveal the truth through your words to each one of us. And, we know that you have made us all very different human beings. Yet, have craved us in your image. Thank you that you have gone above and beyond what we have asked and deserved from you. Thank you for a love that is unconditional. May we all here at MC be more and more like you! In this I pray in your Holy Name Jesus Christ. Amen!

My definition of christian is obviously different than yours. Anyway, IF i see a side of rpm that you dont oh well, thats just the way the cookie crumbles sometimes ya know. I dont pick your friends for you and you dont pick my freinds for me. Your opinion of rpm will not change mine. Thks for listening and goodnight.

According to the bible he is definately not. He is fully praying the hypocrites way and because I dont like praying the hypocrites way, he post it here in unorthodox with bad intention of his heart to irriate me. Thats his purpose here in unorthodox and why he's posting like a nut case all over the rest of the site as much as he is and it does not change a thing whether you do or dont bleieve thats why he's doing it. I know for a fact it is. And your rude comments will only entice him further. And if want him to destroy the site more entice him away.

Wow! Why the attack on texascowgirl for voicing her opinion? Does she not have a voice or a right to comment on a given post just like everyone else?

Matthew 6:7
7 “When you pray, don’t babble on and on as people of other religions do. They think their prayers are answered merely by repeating their words again and again.

It is obvious that each one of us may have a different interpretation of some Scriptures, but attacking for someone for sharing their viewpoint is never a form of godliness. Am I wrong?

Although I understand the viewpoint, we also must remember that it is not up to us to judge a man's heart. In my opinion, if we see someone behaving in what we see to be a hypocritical manner, we should pray, not judge. Then again, Jesus also called out the religious leaders for their hypocrisy, sooo ...

What do we do? One person sees hypocrisy, the other seems themselves praying in earnestness. I guess I do not have the answer to this one yet.

Oh chario, I dont know what to do either. All I want is for him to calm down alittle in here. Im not asking him to stop completely becasue there is nothing wrong with prayer when done right. but alittle respect for others wouldn't hurt him none. It's all i want. Then him and I would get along better. He just seems to not want to. He knows this but he seems to be having to much fun bothering me to calm down and that is disrespectful and does not come from a good heart...getting fun out of irritating another.

Rpms prayers are sweet. They are short and simple and he is not rambling on and on As described by.the verse you cherry picked. I like RPMs prayers. I like them alot.

The reason you dont like them is because you are not walking with Jesus Christ by your side.

RPMs prayers are like a rock thrown into the darkness. The one who gets hit by the rock screams the loudest. They touched a nerve with you because your face is set against Jesus. Ask Jesus into your life and into your home. He is humble and meek and His burdens are light. He is our sweetest friend and ruler of the universe. He not only created you...He loves you deeply. He knows how many hairs are on your head....He knows your thoughts before you have them...

Jesus is strong and mighty and powerful, even demons must obey him. Jesus is our truest and best friend. He Always has our best interest at heart.

I've been praying for you too. That if the spirits are demonic in your home that they show you their true colors and allow you to see a bit of truth of what you're dealing with there.

Won't you ask Jesus into your heart and follow Him? If.you do, it will be the sweetest, most beautiful thing ever in your life.

I think you hate being called a Christian because sometimes people who call themselves Chrisitians cane be rude and dumb and arrogant. But dont look to others when it comes to Jesus, look only to Jesus.

Asking Jesus into my heart has never been in a bible and wherever you get it from it did not come from God. so you follow non biblical crap and enjoy. It says believe. Anyone who runs around telling people to let jesus in their hearts are not saved people, they are lost.

PS Your personal opinion of rpm means absoultely nothing to me.

This is unbiblical. Nowhere does Jesus say this or indicate it.

Salvation is not about asking Jesus to come into your heart. Salvation is not even about asking God to forgive you. Salvation is about trusting in Jesus as your Saviour, receiving the forgiveness He offers by grace through faith . Salvation is about being made new through the Sacrifice of Jesus Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit.

Titus 3.5-7 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;
That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

Ephesians 2.8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Not of works, lest any man should boast.

John 6.37 All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.

Luke 7.50 And he said to the woman, Thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace.

Romans 10.9-10 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

I do not like to see God's Word mishandled. If you believe that a person can choose their own salvation, that is called, biblical errancy.

Could you please show me through the scripture s what you mean...thanks

Not quite correct or in context with God's Word.

The Bible clearly does indicate we are to ask Christ to dwell in our hearts. Paul prayed for such:

I must agree that it is not necessary to verbally ask Jesus into our hearts to be saved. I nothing wrong with the sinner's prayer when the situation fits. However, I was not saved because I made a confession with my mouth. I was saved because the Lord allowed me to see Jesus on the cross and I believed and received it. That was it, there was nothing else, except all the teaching I had growing up which really was not all that much considering it was a denominational church. But God, himself, ministered to me through the church and it's music, etc.

For me, this was not the end either, as you will note in some of my posts. I wish for all to have more of what the Lord has provided, but I also find it wrong to verbally attack another human and think we actually have something to offer through sin. Yes, sin. God told us to pray for our brothers and enemies and he told us to love our brothers and our enemies. He also told us to treat others as we would have them treat us. So, please tell me, who here would like to have their beliefs and themselves slammed in a public forum? If you are truly a follower of Christ, you owe texascowgirl an apology because you have not acted in love toward her. I have seen that she believes in Jesus and I have seen that she has some insight, but too many people are looking at what is wrong instead of what is right. This is nothing more than a spirit of religion, if you ask me.

If texascowgirl believes in her heart that Jesus is Lord, then she is saved. Period. No one here can take away what she has and no one knows her heart better than the Lord. Even if she is one escaping through the flames, what is that to you? Yes, you can try to help her grow, but you cannot force yourself on anyone, just as God does not force himself on anyone of us. He knocks on our doors and tugs at our hearts, but he is not rude. Love is not rude. Love is patient and kind. Love never fails.

P Pink is trying to tell me why I dont want to be called a christian but I will tell her the reason. WE are not here to lable ourselves, be prideful and use that label to attack others, its about Love. You can label yourself anything you want to but if you dont have love you're spiritually dead. It's all about LOVE, not labels. And those who attack anohter by telling them things like what you said to me accusing me of not walking with Christ are those that are dead in love. Attacking one is not love neither is those who approve of it, having love. Rpm gets fullfilment out of those who down me. Is that what you somehow call LOVE? I call it spiritually dead as the day is long.

Again, Its all about LOVE, not labels and attacks. Do you have ears to hear, its all about LOVE not labels

The Bible clearly does indicate we are to ask Christ to dwell in our hearts. Paul prayed for such:

Ephesians 3:17 KJV
17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,

Prayer for the Ephesians

Ephesians 3.14-20

For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God. Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

This prayer is addressed to Father, seeking the fullness of the Triune God.
It says ...Paul asks God's Spirit to make the Ephesians strong, that by Christ Jesus' indwelling their hearts by FAITH…faith is the substance of salvation. With this saving faith, God's love would ground their position in grace.

This scripture has nothing yo do with the false teachings of; inviting asking, some say, prompting. This is taught in a negative way by false teachers.

I hear ya. But I did not think Pink was making reference to praying for God's dwelling in the heart to being the path to Salvation, but rather an effort for walking in joy with Christ.

Also taking note that Paul's message in Ephesians is to those already "claiming" to be believers in Christ in faith.

Yes, that is correct, the assembly in Ephesus was a saved people, but they were disorderly, that is why the apostle wrote the letter.

Maybe Petulathe Pink can explain what she means.

You are very welcome, texascowgirl, but I only speak of what I see with help from Holy Spirit. You may thank him.

Acts 16
29The jailer called for lights and ran to the dungeon and fell down trembling before Paul and Silas. 30Then he brought them out and asked, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?”

31They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved, along with everyone in your household.” 32And they shared the word of the Lord with him and with all who lived in his household. 33Even at that hour of the night, the jailer cared for them and washed their wounds. Then he and everyone in his household were immediately baptized. 34He brought them into his house and set a meal before them, and he and his entire household rejoiced because they all believed in God.

FAITH is BELIEVING in your heart. Who can see the heart but God?

Jeremiah 20:12
O LORD of Heaven's Armies, you test those who are righteous, and you examine the deepest thoughts and secrets.

Jeremiah 17:10
But I, the LORD, search all hearts and examine secret motives. I give all people their due rewards, according to what their actions deserve."

Well... thanks for waiting patiently.... I didn't mean to fleece the scene. But had monthly reports as well as quarterly with a bad database this week.

I was referring mostly to Revelation 3:20. We must open our hearts door and let Christ in.
American Standard Version
Behold, I stand at the door and knock: if any man hear my voice and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

Then there's this....we must abide in Christ.
John 15:55
New American Standard Bible
"I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing.

We must be born again
John 3:5 American Standard Version
Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except one be born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God!

We must repent of our sins.
Luke 24:37
New American Standard Bible
and that repentance for forgiveness of sins would be proclaimed in His name to all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem

There could be plenty more verses I could mention as well, but I think these 4 verses clearly indicate that we need to repent of our sins. And we need to open our hearts door to Jesus and dine with him. These verses speaks of a personal relationship with Jesus. Actually dining with him.... not just knowing about him.

Pink, That was so refreshing, and brought back a "memory". Jesus is always right on time! You may enjoy reading about it on this site. Concerning a thread I began that went no where really, and it was just pulled up today again by Chairo. Its about... why is it that we must go to the Father of the Catholic Church, to be forgiven of our sins. Which was a question... It all comes together on what you have been stressing in Rev 3:20. God bless you. Thanks for sharing... Excuse me, that I had to modify due to twisting my words...typical of me! :-)But, sets me apart for all others...

The scipture you have presented is erroneously taken out of it context; the content is referring to the converts of the Laodicea Church.
I must tell you that, misinterpreting the Holy writ is the same as not believing it. If you believe the scripture that you have applied to the subject, you have missed what it does say…and you are believing what it doesn't say. You are missing the contextual intent. People do not understand how critical this is. Truth must be rightly divided and understood. So many use eisegesis to study the Holy Word, this is wrong!…this leads to-just "bad theology." Study to shew thy self approved. Faith does not rest on the wisdom of men, but solely on the power of God.

Revelation 3.17-22…verse 20 in context:

Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see. As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

People of the Laodicean Church were saved!

The Laodicean's had ousted Saviour Lord Jesus for lack of fellowship with Him by their own fault. These worldly-wise lukewarm Believers- these compromisers; were unfaithful. They used infidelity to their self glory.
Christ Jesus shows the Laodicean peoples their 'true spiritual condition.' They are to repent of their compromising disloyalty of their unbelief…they were on the verge of apostasy.
The Laodicean converts liked the Babylonian lifestyle.
Christ Jesus is calling for them to open the door. They had shut the door because of their blindness.

He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit is saying.
Let us give a reason for the hope that is within us.

I hope this will bless you

Thanks Verbatim! While I know Revelation 3:20 is written for the Laodicean church. But I also believe this is for our day as well.

Given this:

Luke 12:36. Then you will be like servants waiting for their master to return from the wedding banquet, so that when he comes and knocks, they can open the door for him at once.

and this.

Matthew 24:33
So also, when you see all these things, you know that He is near, right at the door.

To me the door represents our hearts door that we must open and let Jesus in

Thanks for sharing...Since The Lord does speak to us as individuals, and I have always taken our Relationship "very personal". When a babe in Christ, having read Rev 3:20 I as well felt, that when he spoke of the "door". He meant, the "Heart!" Well...mine he did! And, my understanding is... "everyone I know", has felt, and read it to mean that as well. Thanks for great insight Verbatim. Pink, I am so blessed to read we also receive it the same. I think no matter what, everyone has a different way of receiving from the Lord. As well as explaining. God bless you.
