Wrongful Red Hands (The response to "Traitor Within")

How could you not see that he would leave you hollow
Shards of you strewn across the lament covered floor
Heartache stained face devoid of mistaken love

Shut up already! Am I supposed to pity you?
After you selfishly martyred me for the pursuit of feelings
Stop blaming me for being broken, when you gave him everything I had
But it was me you claim made the choice?
Yes, I want what I want but who told you it was him

When I quickened your pulse to a gallop
I was willing you to run, not stutter step, gasp and give into him
When I flushed your face as his gaze met yours
It was meant to give you pause not make you wanton
That deadly, foreboding drumbeat emanating from me was not for you to tango to
It was a warning, a battle cry
Me trying to untangle you from the snare of his crow stricken insides

You
You did this
Threw red on everything
He picked me off your sleeve so easily
Now I lay at the top of the pile of this desolate jar of broken hearts
Watching him watch me, watch him waiting for me to finally stop bleeding
