It was a good performance by Hanks and the co-actor.

I see Oscar looming in their future.

I keep wondering if they wasted a perfectly good airplane or was it all trickery?

Hollywood theatricals (they spend a lot of money on movies and there is a lot of profit to make up for it).

I had such a crush on Tom Hanks when younger! His acting is stupendous.

Thanks Greg for posting this review.

I am not sure what they did with this movie, but I have seen some amazing photos and videos done using small remote controlled aircraft, that unless you already knew prior, you would very likely assume they were actual full size aircraft. The same with cars, boats and military craft.

I saw the movie within the past couple of days. It appears "photoshopped". I doubt any "airworthy" aircraft was destroyed just to make this movie. Previously damaged aircraft may have been used in some scenes.
