Well, my ex was/is, which curiously enough takes away from my really enjoying them now.

Abbot & Costello are hilarious.

Just for the Fun of It ...

Out of the all the ones on The Three Stooges ... which one would you say ... you would be more like ...

Moe, Larry, or Curly ??? ( there was Shemp, Joe ? ... and Curly Joe too )

For me ... I'd probably be more like Curly ... for I have my times when I like being simple ... making certain noises ... nyuk, nyuk, nyuk !

I especially like the one liner from Curly ...

" I'm a victim of circumstance. "

A lot of people liked Curly, he died like in 1952, don't know how many episodes he did, The Show started in 1934 and ran for 200 episodes with roughly 15 minutes for each show, this is what I like about it, they were short but funny.

The Three Stooges does show how people will usually repeat their stupidity until they see the error of their ways and can plainly see a " NEW WAY. "

I always liked it when Moe would say, " Success " ... and the other stooges would repeat it and shake hands.

For me, I liked Larry, probably because he was kinda forgotten of the stooge clan.

Two of my favorite episodes are Disorder In The Court and Goof On The Roof.

They were funny. How about British's Norman Wisdom? I liked him better than Jerry Lewis.

Norman Wisdom ... never heard of him. Maybe I could look him up online to know more about him. I love humor ... and having a good laugh. It's getting harder to find comedians who can be funny ... without cussing all the time.

I liked Larry too ! His facial expressions always made me laugh. He was pretty good on the violin too.

In the later years of the Stooges, they cut out much of the slapstick humor stuff, I can't blame them for doing this, heck, to survive all the head bonks and cheek slaps and pie in the face stuff, I bet it got old.

The stooges did have some good one liners ... like ...

" Wise guy, huh ? "

" I was a victim of circumstance."

" I can't see, I can't see ... I got my eyes closed. "

( maybe someone can remember a few more, but these came to my mind )

Born in the days when Slapstick was King, I don't know how it would go over now and I've never seen the recent 3 stooges they made a movie about, I'm sure that none of them matched Curly's performance.

Saw the new 3 stooges ... good ... but not as good as the old ones.

The new ones went too fast.

I must say though that the new ones, they look a lot like the old ones, where they find these people, who knows.

I also like the episode higher than a kite when one of the stooges gets stuck in a metal pipe after being underneath the car, the one other stooge starts the car up and the power wheel spins and pushes the stooge into the pipe, it was a great gag.

It makes me wonder if all the head bonking was part of this, we'll never know.

Enjoyed the videos Kari and Insular. :high5:

I have wondered the same thing about Curly's health issues ... and if the slapping around or getting hit on the head had anything to do with it.

Of course, the information I have read also revealed that Curly liked having a good time ... not very well disciplined.

But ... we have all had our times of seeking " pleasure " more so than having " peace. "

My Dad always liked Shemp ... more so than the other ones. I have some good memories of watching the stooges and seeing my Dad laugh and laugh.

On New Year's Eve and also on New Year's Day ... a TV station we have on cable had a Three Stooges Marathon ... playing one show right after the other.

I have admit ... I did get a little tired of watching them ... too much of good thing ... but it was still good to see some of the shows I had long forgotten.
