YOU ARE LOVED

You are loved, my dear child, you are loved
You are worthy of my presence which rains down from above
As you seek me, you will find me; when you ask, I will give
If you follow all my precepts for they tell you how to live
Turn your sadness and your sorrow into joy that you may find
The health and prosperity I give to those who are mine
I'll never leave you nor forsake you; by your side I'll ever be
When you need me I will be there; you can put your trust in me
There'll be a day in heaven when my children will come home
When their crying will be ended and they'll dance before my throne
But for now you have the comfort of knowing that I care
As I put my arms around you and tell you I am there
For the presence of your Father is everywhere you see
Whether sitting on the throne or spending time with thee
I put my arms around you and say I love you so
You can rest your head upon my breast
I'll never let you go!

Beautiful ! Thanks for sharing this with all of us !

I encourage people when they sense people have left their table of life, they will find Jesus Christ still at their table saying in a soft tone ...

" Still Here "

COME CLOSE TO ME

My child come close to my heart
Draw near to me, come close to me
Devote yourself wholeheartedly
Come close, come close to me

With singing lips, lift up your praise
Lift up your hands; give praise to me
Devote yourself wholeheartedly
Come close, come close to me

Bow your head to worship your King
With your voice give honor to me
Devote yourself wholeheartedly
Come close, come close to me

Thank you Terry/Grace.......

Intimacy with our God
Is a treasure worth seeking.

A humble cottage, filled with His presence
Is truly a palace.....

A short poem I wrote shared below:

A Place For My Heart

I have a small cottage
‘Tis built in the wood
The tall trees bow o’er it
As a mother, her brood

The wild grass smells sweet
The lilacs bloom rare
The full-throated bluebirds
Their praises declare

It tumbles and sparkles
The brook laid with diamonds
Its waters dance softly
With nature’s own timing

A place for my heart
Prayers rise without fear
No forbidding its joy
Nor despising its tear

TENDER KISSES

Your words are acts of kindness
Like tender kisses to my head
It's like a bit of heaven
Making sure that I am fed
With the food of loving kindness
That fills my heart with joy
Your friendship is what warms my heart
And leaves much to enjoy

by Terryann

Thank you both for your kind words and for joining us, Greendiamond.
This was written after the love and kindness of just one Christian brother changed my life and set me free. We all need to be shown love so that we may grow into the person God has called us to be. All of us should be looking for opportunities wherever we go to share God's love with others. One slight gesture can change a person's entire day. My pastor went out on errands yesterday and had the opportunity to bless someone who was very down. His demeanor changed dramatically after Pastor handed him $20 just so the Lord could bless him. After this, he went on to bless two more individuals, taking videos and sharing them with his father-in-law whose books were instrumental in their walk with the Lord and with the congregation during service last night. I want to thank you again Lord
From my soul and my heart
For showing me the meaning
Of a brand new start
I see it again
A bright shining light
Showing me the way, Lord
Giving me a beautiful sight
You're with me for sure
I know this is true
'Cause I've finally found faith
And it comes from you
I'll pray to you always
In a very special way
Love is all around me
'Cause of you, it's here to stay
I'll thank you Lord, always
For being my BESTFRIEND
I will love you forever
Forever meaning, there's no end...

I'm looking for the song forum. Why are hardly any churches coming up with songs when we are called to come up with hymms for each other? "Encourage each other with... hymms......"

Sweetheart, I am not a church nor is this site. I can only write the words (poetry & prose), not the music. No doubt, you would be welcome to create a thread for the purpose of sharing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. I created this thread just for my own use which is used to encourage others through poetry. Thank you for checking it out. Be blessed in your endeavors.

P.S. There may yet be another thread which incorporates songs, if you continue looking around.

Thank you for your encouraging words
For it is to you I post today
May blessings surround and meet you
Each and e-ver-y day

May the sun shine down from above
Upon your dwelling place
May your path always be enlightened
With His power, glory and grace

May you bask in His wonderful presence
Sensing the fullness of His love
Reflecting upon all His goodness
Raining upon you from heaven above

PROPHECY

I have wanted to share a prophecy I received awhile back and do not see any other way but to rewrite it, so I am going to do it here so others may also receive whatever the Lord may have for them. I have shared with people in the past who were blessed by these words from the Lord.

This was the Lord's word to me which was prophesied on 25 July, 1997:

I know, my daughter, how much you can take. I will never let you be tested above what you are able to bear. But, I will, with the temptation, also make a way of escape that you may be able to bear it. And God says, My grace is sufficient for you, for my strength is made perfect in your weakness.

And the Lord says, My daughter, I have brought you up out of Lazarus' cave. Don't go back into bondage. Don't go back into death. And the Lord says, I have brought you out of death. I have brought you into my light. I have brought you into my power.

And the Lord says, My daughter, I want to teach your hands to war. I want to teach your fingers to fight. I am going to teach you how to come against the enemy. And the Lord says, You are going to run through the troops of the enemy and leap over the walls that have been put in your way.

And the Lord says that you are going to stand fast in that liberty where in Christ he's made you free. You will not be entangled again unto a yoke of slavery. For I have brought you out that I might bring you in. I brought you out of the house of bondage that I might bring you into the Promised Land flowing with milk and honey.

And God says, You are going to have that new Song of the Lamb; the Song of Victory; the Song of Triumph. The Song of the Overcomers is in you, says the Lord.

Therefore, my daughter, don't go back into bondage. Don't go back into what man would say would be my will. For my will is not man's will.

And the Lord says, Follow me. For the Lord says, You follow the perfect law of liberty, you are following me.

And God says, I have called you to love people. I have called you to care for others. As you are doing that, the Lord says, You are allowing my love to come stronger in your life.

* Recently, I was encouraging some of our on line church members to go back and look at prophecies given to them with consideration that the Lord is still doing the work. His time schedule is not the same as ours. Even though parts of this prophecy have been fulfilled, he is still completing his work in and for me. A week later, my pastor preached a similar message, encouraging members to do exactly what I was already saying. Praise the Lord! He is always on time!

COME AND DRAW NEAR

Come and draw near
Near to your Father
He stands with open arms
Ready to receive you

Come and draw near
Don't stand outside
As others enter in
Into His loving embrace

Come and draw near
Nearer, draw nearer
Step on in; Enter in
To the presence of the King

I am reminded of a time when a cute little dog ( a stray ) came up to me, but the dog stayed away from me at a distance. So, I went to the house and got a slice of bologna and the dog waited and watched me.

I approached the dog slowly and kept talking ... being very gentle and kind ... got on my knees and held out the bologna. The dog came closer and sniffed the bologna, but would not accept what was being offered.

When I tried to reach out and pet the dog on the head, the dog backed off again ... but only far enough to be out of my reach.

I waited and kept talking to the dog and again ... the dog came up to me and sniffed the bologna. This time, I did nothing at all, but waited patiently ... to see if the dog was willing to receive the gift. I did not attempt to reach out to the dog, but only kept talking like we do with pets ... " How are you doggie ? What's your name ? "

The dog was " almost persuaded " and opened it's mouth for the bologna. I could feel the joy in my heart as the dog took a few licks of the meat.

All of a sudden, I don't know what happened, but the dog turned and ran away. I never saw the dog again. I don't know why the dog ran away or what caused it to be so fearful of me ... maybe it didn't like bologna.

It's just an assumption, but I always thought the dog must of had some bad experiences with humans.

Now, as a pastor, I keep this picture in my mind ... the experience I had with this cute little dog. I believe people are around us, being drawn closer to our Good Lord, but they may keep their distance. Just like the dog ... they sniff around and watch us Christians.

Maybe, they have seen the bologna before and are not attracted to what we have in Christ ... so they are hesitant to receive the offer of salvation God's has for them through Jesus Christ.

And ... I know ... because of prior experiences they have had with humans ( probably some bad ones along the way ) ... they not only keep their distance, but for whatever the reason ... keep running away ... especially if they know you are a pastor.

I am sure some people don't like the bologna they see being offered to them either ( and sorry to say, but there are pastors around giving out a lot of bologna too ).

Lord, show others the " steak " ... and help us, as Christians ( as pastors ), get rid of the bologna.

It may take time for others to be persuaded, but it will be worth the time ... to wait and pray for them ... until they too smell the steak, taste the steak ... and know You are the REAL MEAT we all need in life.

Still Waiting and Praying ... Help Me, God ... To Keep Offering the REAL MEAT ...

His Name is Jesus Christ !

Thank you, RadioPreacherMan.

As soon as I began reading, my thought went to the Lord preparing you to be a Pastor. Actually, the gift and the calling were already within you, but this may have been used as a teaching tool.

You have pretty much answered your own questions. Even though the dog could have taken a dislike to the chemical laden bologna, he was more likely to have been abused my a human. I have also attempted to approach a stray who would keep a certain distance and not accept my friendship or whatever gift I may have brought. I have also seen videos of someone being called out to help a stray out of very poor conditions. When they can get close enough, they "catch" them, take them to the clinic, and help them recover from their emotional trauma while taking care of their physical needs.

Now, we cannot go around putting people in restraints to "catch" them, but we do need to take much care in how we handle the Word of God with consideration to their personal history. So many people claim to have been hurt by the church and do not want to go back to church. I believe those would more likely be denominational churches which most likely have no personal relationship with the Lord. Many times, there are no non-denominational or inter-denominational churches in the area to become aware of the difference.

This has caused a large number of needy people to believe that God does not love them. This is where it is important to use the power of prayer, especially before going into the pulpit, etc. to preach.

BTW, it sounds like you did nothing wrong with the dog. We cannot force anyone to receive, just as God does not force anyone to receive. He merely makes the gifts available for the taking. It is up to us to receive them.

It goes back to laying a foundation. What if you would have cut the bologna into pieces, laying them on the ground, piece by piece, while stepping farther away each time? The farther away you get, the more the animal feels in his comfort zone and may take a nibble of that first piece of bologna, then proceed slowly for the next nibble. If the little nibble is good to him, he will proceed and by the time he has eaten the entire piece of bologna, he now finds himself closer to you because each time he trusted a piece of bologna, he was expanding his comfort zone to include you. If he had no faith in you, he would have never come so close to you in the first place, but he saw something in you that was different than others which caused him a small amount of trust.

So it is with God's word. Babes in Christ cannot handle the meat of the word, they need spiritual milk. Not too long ago, I had a pastor who understood the kind of people who walked into her church. I had something to learn from her since I had been brought up in a denominational church which was more than what most people have had. Not everyone who walks in the door has the same need nor do they have the same grasp and understanding of God's word. They need milk, not meat. It is no wonder she repeated her testimonies so many times for those who had just come in.

A Christmas poem.

My beloved is older than me, He comes from the beginning of time.
His eyes were always on me, He knew I would call Him mine.

He was a creator,
He created in me love,
I was once human,
but I became a dove.

I was in trouble, I knew it not,
He rescued me, and set me free.
He was wounded and I didn't see,
now I must find, where my true love will be.

my beloved is a child in heart
He was born to be a baby full of love
persecuted at birth what a terrible start
but this is the time to look to Him above.

My beloved gave me His whole self,
I had the world, it's whole wealth,
I have His riches, all of His goodness,
for all who need me, I will also give my best.

Okay, RPM, I just realized something as I was beginning to reread my comment to you about the dog. The only reason the human is able to get near enough to the dog to "catch" it, is because they have already thrown him little nibbles of food, showing him they are there to help and not harm. It takes some time for him to be trusting enough to eat the nibbles and get closer. Once he has gotten close enough to trust them, someone tends to his wounds with healing salve and love.

SUNDAY ACTIVITY

---TO MY DAUGHTER JUANITA---

THE WIND IS BLOWING AROUND THE BEND
THE LIKES OF WHICH THERE SEEMS NO END-
I AM BUSY WHILE THE BABY IS ASLEEP
A BLUE EYED GIRL SHE'S IN MY KEEP---
I BUSIED MYSELF THROUGH THE DAY
KNOWING WHAT I DID WOULD BE OKAY---
THE CHORES IN WHICH I COULD NEVER SHIRK
WHILE THE MOTHER IS AWAY AT WORK---
I SWEPT THE FLOOR, AND DID THE DISHES
I READ THE PAPER AND MADE WISHES---
I MADE THE BEDS AND WASHED THE CLOTHES
IF I'D GONE OUT I MIGHT HAVE FROZE---
I COOKED DINNER, THE BABY FED
THEN PLUMPED HER RIGHT INTO HER BED--
I RESTED THEN WITH RADIO ON, BOOKS IN VIEW
BUT ALL I DID WAS THINK OF YOU---
FUNNY THE ONES CLOSER TO YOUR HEART
ARE ALWAYS THE ONES SO FAR APART---
NOW I WONDER WHAT THE DAYS END WILL BRING
WHEN NIGHTFALL OVER THE CITY RING---
THE END OF DAY BY THE STARS ABOVE
PROCLAIMING FOR YOU ALL MY LOVE---

RPM, I just realized that I owe you one poem. I must say this is one I do not usually share as it does not show the same maturity as my other poems, but it may be the first one written as a young believer, just don't quote me on that. lol

Meet My Friend

I have a true friend.
One who is with me wherever I go
and never leaves me standing alone.
He's with me at school, work and play,
or anywhere I go.
He's right by my side.
If I get into a spat with someone else,
my friend acts as a peacemaker.
What I like most about my friend is
he is there to talk to.
He listens to me even when I complain
and grumble a lot.
Many times I stop and remind myself
to be quiet and listen to my friend.
He's very wise and understanding
and always has a word of encouragement.
You should meet my friend,
he wants to meet you.
All you have to do is tell him.
You see, he wants to be a part
of your life, too.
Meet my friend, Jesus

The Gifts of a Very Best Friend

A lifetime of love
in a hug and a smile,
A reason to visit
and stay for awhile,
The strength of a bond
that's destined to last,
The joys of the present,
the warmth of the past-
These are the treasures
a fortunate few
Are lucky to cherish
all their lives through-
These are the blessings
on which we depend,
For these are the gifts
of a very best friend.

A Day at a Time

I don't wish to know tomorrow,
For the trials of today,
Are enough to keep me busy,
Here on life's pathway.

God in all of His wisdom
Could so easily see,
One day at a time,
Was enough for me.

No need to be anxious,
For what the future holds.
God must prepare you,
As each day unfolds.

So Lord, I trust you,
The future is all Thine.
Just help me to live,
One day at a time.

I'LL KEEP YOUR PHOTOGRAPH

A photograph to those you Love
Is something sweet to give,
But only Loving memories
Can make a portrait live.

And sometimes if you look for long
And let your thoughts go straying,
It seems as if the picture smiles--
What can those lips be saying?

As if the curls so well arranged
Slip sometimes out of place,
And sweet expressions you have seen
Flash now across the face.

It's more than just a portrait in
A folder or a frame;
It comes to real life for you
Because it bears the Loved One's name.

Thank you Lord for this great day

Thank you Lord for coming my way

Thank you Lord that I can see

Your great abundance coming to me!

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-not by works, so no one can boast.

This is my creative way of getting your attention to my thread since my message was lost.

Intimacy with our God
Is a treasure worth seeking.

A humble cottage, filled with His presence
Is truly a palace.....

A short poem I wrote shared below:

A Place For My Heart

I have a small cottage
‘Tis built in the wood
The tall trees bow o’er it
As a mother, her brood

The wild grass smells sweet
The lilacs bloom rare
The full-throated bluebirds
Their praises declare

It tumbles and sparkles
The brook laid with diamonds
Its waters dance softly
With nature’s own timing

A place for my heart
Prayers rise without fear
No forbidding its joy
Nor despising its tear

This one feels like it should be in a country bluegrass style like something Emmy Lou Harris would sing. beautiful!!!

I love you, Jehovah, with all my heart
From you, Elohe Mauzi, I will never depart

Thank you, Jehovah, for all you do
For filling me, El Shaddai, making me new

There is no other, El Simchath Gili
Who can compare with what you have placed in me

You keep me safe, Elohim Machase Lanu
Under your wing, I am protected by you

Jehovah Elyon Adonai, I lift your name
Forever and ever, God Most High!

Oh Lord I want to thank you
For all you've done for me
And for giving me opportunities
To see others being set free

I thank you for the roof
which is above my head
And the place you have provided
For me to call a bed

I thank you for provisions
For each and every day
No matter what the need is
You always find a way

We have a home to live in
And the bills are being paid
Your love and mercy is evident
As you do just what you said

So thank you's never seem enough
When endless is your love
When never do you leave us
And ever watch us from above
