No. 0     Original Topic: Adobe flash and uploading photos problem

To upload photos you have to have Adobe Flash installed, unfortunately.

Some people have problems installing Adobe Flash Player. Some people hate Adobe Flash Player and don't even want it installed on their computer. I fall under both of those categories.

I have tried installing AFP, so I can upload a profile pic, and all I get is a light gray box and nothing happens. I have never had trouble installing AFP before, so I don't know what's going on. As soon as I learn how to fix this problem, I will post the solution here, in case anyone else is having this problem too.

Otherwise; if you're not technologically challenged like me, and have successfully installed Adobe Flash Player, then you will be able to upload photos to your profile.

Installing AFP will fix photo upload problems such as:

1) Not being able to see a confirmation button after uploading a photo (Opera)

2) Not having a clickable upload link. (Internet Explorer)

I have not tried Firefox.

I still can't get Adobe Flash Player to install (I uploaded my profile photos from a different computer).

I have spent a few hours combing the Internet and coming up empty. I am hoping we have some computer savvy people here who maybe know the answer.

When I start the installation process all I get is a gray screen that does nothing. The solutions I found on the Internet did not fix the problem, for example: https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1822939

I must've downloaded and tried to reinstall - making sure to click "unblock" - restarting my computer, a dozen times, to no avail.

There was another site that said I had to install some other Adobe thing first (http://www.tomsguide.com/answers/id-2303246/adobe-flash-player-install.html), which I promptly did. Same thing: blank gray box.

Sorry for a late response, if you are still having a problem, please try Chrome which typically has Flash support built in.
