My sister lived practically next door (Hopkinsville, Ky) to LBTL for over 20 yrs. Been down to visit her many times but never made it to LBTL. But then about a month ago she moved up to Grand Rapids, MI so I'm guessing I'll probably never make it to LBTL.

I was there as a kid, although I don't remember it. My Brother emailed me some photocopies of some old LBL maps he found my dad had when we were on vacation there as kids.

I will likely go down there for a quick vacation either late this winter or spring.

Although they do get snow there it is much milder, less of it, and usually doesn't last as long as what we get near Chicago. Nowhere near as cold either.

Hello Robin, and welcome to the forums I was born near Jackson, Ky. My niece Judy Centers wrote a best seller book about Kentucky, She sent me a picture of her shaking hands with the Governor of Ky. She said I got a

Manicure for the first and last time in my life before I went to meet the Governor.

I knew it was just a matter of time befoe they catch him, He has a risky occupation, and it is Unchristian like, Hopefully he has learned his

lesson and will find a new trade, They are good at catching bank robbers in Ky.Well, After writing this

post I found Survivor has a different uccupation now, he was a bank robbr for awhile, after getting

all the money he needed he must have repented and found an honest way to make a living. So most likely

in his post where he said he did some time in Ky. He meant he spent some time there.

I appreciate the kind words spoken about Kentuckians, And I know my dad and Mom would have too. My dad was a Farmer and part time Schoolteacher.and both were loved and known as good people in the area where we lived.

Actually...the last time Robin was here was back in 2010 and she hasn't been back since.

I merely dug up this thread because it was about Kentucky.

Bull fighter said, I am sure bad Kentuckians do exist I just never met one, I didn't notice the date on this thread whenI posted on it, and wondered why the woman didn't answer any of the posts, Of course like any other place bad Kentuckians did, and still do exist, aand here is an example, my famiy moved from near Jackson, Ky. in 1940nwhen I was 11yrs. old Amd there was a man by the name of John Clair that killed 11 men counting the ones he killed before, and after we left, I only know

what I heard, according to one of my uncles he was a hired killer, and it would seem likely that was true he killed for hire, I heard he was

so mean when he passed away they refused to bury him in what they called a graveyard with other people but out by himself, My dad was mrried 3 times I am from the last marriage, about 4yrs ago I visited one of my several sisters in Winchester, Ky. and she told me a story about John Clair. She said she too had herd the story that he was

so mean they refused to bury him with other people, Also she said he was not a mean man at all he was a good man, and good neighbor that loved and took good care of his family, her sister was married to one

of his brothers who beat her, and the way my sister described it, she

said when John found out his brother had been beating her sister, John

beat the tar out of him and helped her sister get away from him.I know

Johns granddaughter, she attends a Church less than a mile from my house, She said, I loved my grandpa he was always good to me.

Robins Profile is still on MC but evidentially she has left. We did have one outlaw in the family, One of my uncles was a Bootlegger, He told of a

time when he took whiskey to Jackson to sell it, He said he gave a man a taste of moonshine out of one bottle, he liked it, He then sold the man a pint of water he had in another bottle.

You are welcome JesusIsLord ...

What you share is interesting to me. You may never know what God is bringing to people's mind ... and they may never share it, but ...

I'm sure you would share what God brings to your mind anyway. Thank You !
